Connie Francis is a great singer and my wife and I always love to hear her songs even in these days. We watched her show here in the Philippines last year and she performed like no other and the crowd even asked her to sing more songs at the end of the concert. We will always love you Connie.

I remember my cousin Vinny (no pun intended) singing it when we were kids. I remember the descriptive words very clearly as being:
Provolone, then something like "achachone"
Meat-a-ball
Escarole (pronounced "ashkarole"
Hot pastrami, cooked salami
Mozzarella-la-la-la

Hey Jim, I think the last line was slightly different...like this
"that was a tougha jam, good-bye Tony the Ica Man. Good bye, Goodbye, GOODBYE! Thaks to all who gave me the ice box ingredients. Last time I heard the original 78 I was 11 years old. The newer 1950's LP "The One And Only" has new versions of the old 78's and I have to say that they are not as good as the 78's were. Try for those. Ciao

This website and the audio stream takes me back to my life growing up. This is great! Keep up the great work. Your website is a great service to us Italian Americans. I moved away from New York almost 10 years ago, and this site really helps me feel connected to back home. Grazi !
